ABOUT
Aspire Educational Psychology Services is a small independent practice based in Essex, managed by Dr Amanda Furness BSc QTS DEdChPsy.
​
Amanda is an experienced Educational and Child Psychologist registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC). She has many years of experience working with children and vulnerable young people within educational settings and beyond. Amanda is also a member of the Association of Educational Psychologists.
​
Amanda is a qualified teacher and has worked as an Educational and Child Psychologist since completing the Doctorate in Educational and Child Psychology at the University of East London (UEL). Her doctoral research and thesis focused on nurture groups as a provision for vulnerable pupils.
​
Amanda has a particular interest in Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) but works with all areas of need across a broad age range. She is approachable and cares deeply about her work and clients.

Qualifications:
BSc Psychology - University of Reading (First Class Hons)
Doctorate in Educational and Child Psychology - UEL
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
